General Disclaimer

Atomic Fast is a wellness and nutrition tracking tool, not a medical device. The information provided in this app — including fasting phase descriptions, metabolic impact estimates, readiness scores, and nutrition calculations — is for educational and informational purposes only.

This app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The health information presented is based on published, peer-reviewed scientific research (cited below), but it is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any fasting regimen, making significant changes to your diet, or if you have any health concerns. If you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, or are taking medication, seek medical advice before using this app.

How We Use Health Data

Atomic Fast accesses health data (such as heart rate variability, sleep, and activity) from Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect with your explicit permission. This data is used solely to compute on-device readiness and wellness scores.

All health computations are performed entirely on your device. Health data is never sent to external servers, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Readiness Scores

The readiness score is a composite wellness indicator, not a clinical measurement. It combines signals such as HRV, resting heart rate, sleep duration, sleep quality, and activity level using published methodology. It is designed to help you understand general recovery trends — not to diagnose or treat any condition.

Nutrition Calculations

Calorie targets and macronutrient recommendations are estimated using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation — a widely accepted formula in clinical nutrition research. These are estimates only. Individual caloric needs vary based on genetics, activity level, body composition, and other factors not captured by any formula.

Metabolic Impact Estimates

The "metabolic impact" score estimates how long a meal may take your body to return to a fasting metabolic state. This is based on general principles of postprandial metabolism and glycemic load research. It is a simplified educational estimate, not a clinical measurement of blood glucose or metabolic rate.
